Pacific Blades 2026

Starting with 2026 only regional seminars like Pacific Blades and its counterparts in South Dakota, Ohio and Maine will be open to the public and offer the opportunity to train directly with Martial Blade Concepts Founder and Lead Instructor Michael Janich.
This will be the 11th edition of Pacific Blades – our SoCal MBC Seminar. Mike will introduce all recent updates of the system with focus on fine-tuning the technique and efficiency of each student. This is an excellent opportunity for advanced MBC Practicioners, Instructor Candidates and Instructors to work 1:1 with Mike on the critical skills.
This seminar is intended for intermediate to advanced MBC Practicioners – please see below for a list of required prerequisite skills.

The required prerequisite knowledge and skills necessary to participate in Pacific Blades 2026 include the following:

• A thorough understanding of MBC’s logic and philosophy, including our approaches to stopping power and anatomical targeting.
• Functional competency in the fundamental “Speed Stop” applications of MBC against angles 1-5 and overhead attacks.
• Functional competency in both the Two-Step and One-Step versions of MBC’s Master Technique as it applies to “Speed Stop” applications.
• Functional competency in MBC’s fundamental reflex-training or “flow” drills, including: Largo Mano, Outside-Outside, Hubud-Lubud, Six-Count, and Sumbrada.
• Functional competency in the fundamental skills of Counter-Blade Concepts (CBC), including at a minimum, the Split-X, CBC 3/Left-Side Funnel, and the Compression Lock.

Tuition for Pacific Blades XI is $325.00

Registration for Pacific Blades 2026 requires a deposit of $100.00. Payment options are PayPal, Venmo or Check (Cash if you are local). Payment of the balance is due by March 7, 2026.

Enrollment for this Pacific Blades 2026 will be limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the seminar is booked full, we will maintain a waiting list in the event of any cancellations.
